
16/05/2025 – The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (FHIS Undiksha), continues to advance its internationalization agenda by establishing a strategic collaboration with the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Both institutions officially signed an Implementation Arrangement on International Conference on Education and Social Sciences as a joint effort to strengthen academic collaboration and broaden contributions to global scholarly forums.
The signing ceremony was held offline and attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and students. This collaboration aims to organize an international conference that brings together academics, researchers, and practitioners to discuss current issues and developments in education and social sciences.
Dean of FHIS Undiksha Prof.Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd. stated that the international conference will serve as a vital platform for academic exchange and networking. “Through this forum, academics will not only be able to present their research findings but also build global networks that support the advancement of knowledge and best practices in education and social sciences,” he remarked.
A representative from the University of Malaya emphasized that this initiative aligns with the shared vision of strengthening the role of Southeast Asian universities on the global stage. “International conferences provide a strategic space to share ideas, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and strengthen our academic presence internationally,” they said.
Through this agreement, FHSS Undiksha and the University of Malaya will regularly co-host conferences, design themes on emerging research topics, and provide opportunities for publishing selected conference papers in reputable international journals.
This collaboration underscores FHIS Undiksha’s commitment to supporting knowledge development, fostering cross-border academic collaboration, and enhancing its international reputation as an excellent, independent, and globally competitive university.
