
12/05/2025 – In a significant step toward strengthening international academic engagement, the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (FHIS Undiksha), has formalized a Research Collaboration Implementation Arrangement with the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. This agreement is not only a formal commitment but also a shared vision to build a more productive and globally competitive research ecosystem.
Under this arrangement, both institutions agreed to initiate joint research projects addressing contemporary issues in the fields of law, education, and social sciences. The collaboration aims to produce studies that are academically rigorous while remaining relevant to societal challenges, thereby contributing to global scholarly discourse.
Dean of FHIS Undiksha, Prof.Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd. highlighted the broader impact of the partnership. “We hope this collaboration will not merely result in publications, but also in research outcomes that provide concrete solutions for communities. By connecting our researchers with global networks, the quality and relevance of Undiksha’s research will continue to grow,” he said.
Representatives from the University of Malaya emphasized the strategic importance of cross-border partnerships. “Our region faces many shared challenges. Collaborative research allows us to pool perspectives and generate more comprehensive insights,” a UM representative remarked.
Moving forward, the two universities plan to design priority research agendas, engage students in joint projects, and publish findings in reputable international journals. Beyond that, the outcomes of this collaboration are also expected to be integrated into academic activities such as seminars, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
This agreement affirms FHIS Undiksha’s position as an institution committed to advancing knowledge through international cooperation and underscores its dedication to fostering innovative, impactful research that benefits both academia and society.
