14/05/2025 – The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (FHIS Undiksha), has taken another step in strengthening its global academic collaboration by signing an Implementation Arrangement on International Guest Lecture Program with the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to create an inclusive, globally oriented, and academically enriching learning environment.
Through this agreement, scholars from the University of Malaya will have the opportunity to deliver guest lectures at FHSS Undiksha, and vice versa. The program is designed to broaden students’ and lecturers’ academic horizons by providing exposure to international perspectives, expertise, and cross-cultural dialogue.
Dean of FHIS Undiksha highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration. “International guest lectures not only bring fresh insights into the classroom but also strengthen students’ readiness to engage in global academic and professional arenas. This initiative is a crucial step in raising the quality and competitiveness of our graduates,” he said.
A representative from the University of Malaya welcomed the collaboration, noting its role in advancing academic cooperation across borders. “International guest lectures serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering dialogue, and opening new opportunities for future research and academic partnerships,” they remarked.
Looking ahead, both universities are committed to developing a sustainable schedule of guest lectures, covering topics in law, education, and social sciences. The program is expected to deliver significant benefits for both academic communities while reinforcing Undiksha’s position as an excellent, independent, and globally competitive university.
